Day 1: Arrive / Kathmandu
Upon arrival in Kathmandu, group will be met, welcome by representatives and transferred to hotel.
Afternoon: Half-day sightseeing tour of Kathmandu also called the 'City of Glory'. Visit includes, Durbar Square, Kasthamandap - said to be constructed from a single piece wood. Kumari Ghar - Home to the World's only living Goddess. A short visit to Bhairab - the God of destruction, Taleju Temple - built in 1549 AD and Hanuman Dhoka Palace. Thereafter visit Swoyambunath Stupa, said to be one of the oldest Buddhist Stupas in the World, which is majestically set high on a Hill overlooking Kathmandu Valley. It is nicknamed as the monkey temple after the tribe of monkeys that look after the hill and often amuses the visitors. Overnight at Hotel
Day 2: Kathmandu - Chitwan National Park
After Breakfast at the hotel drive to Chitwan National Park - 170 kms (approx. four and a Half hrs) and check-in at lodge. On arrival at Chitwan, check into your hotel / Camp. Upon arrival at the Camp, you will be briefed by the resident Guest Relations officer regarding the Park and the wildlife programmes available.
Activities at the Lodge include wildlife viewing from elephant back, jungle walks, bird-watching, landrover drives, river safaris, elephant camp visits, wildlife viewing and photographing from machans (blinds). Every evening a slide show explains more fully about the flora and fauna of the National Park. All wildlife activities are escorted by experienced naturalists.
Wildlife in Chitwan includes the greater one-horned rhinoceros, spotted deer, hog deer, sambar deer and barking deer as well as a wide variety of birdlife. With a bit of luck, there are always the chance of glimpsing the leopard, sloth bear and Royal Bengal tiger. Lunch, dinner and overnight at the jungle lodge / camp.
Day 3: Chitwan
After breakfast at the lodge you will be transferred by landrover and a short walk through the jungle to the The Tiger Tops Tented Camp which is located in the Surung Valley east of the Lodge. Situated on high ground overlooking tall grasslands with the river, middle hills and the snow capped Himalayas beyond. On clear days several 8,000 meter peaks including Annapurna, Dhaulagiri and Manaslu can be seen from the Tented Camp. Lunch, dinner and overnight at the jungle lodge / camp.
Day 4: Chitwan - Pokhara
After breakfast at the hotel you will be picked from Meghauly and driven to Pokhara - 170kms (approx. four and a Half hrs) and check-in at hotel. The Pokhara valley is one of the most picturesque spots of Nepal. The beauty of the valley is enhanced by its lovely lakes Phewa, Begnas and Rupa, which have their source in the glacial region of the Annapurna Range of the Himalayas.
Afternoon: Sightseeing tour Pokhara visit includes Davi's Fall, Mahendra Gufa (cave), Vindhyabasini Temple, International Mountain Museum, including 1-hour boating on Phewa Lake. Overnight at Hotel / Resort.
Day 5: Pokhara - Kathmandu
Early morning excursion to Sarangkot for the fabulous sunrise over the Himalayas from where one can witness mountains in the north and beautiful Phewa Lake in the south. We will then return to the hotel for breakfast. Later transfer to airport for flight to Kathmandu. Meeting and assistance on arrival at Kathmandu airport and transfer to hotel. After refreshment, proceed to visit the medieval city of Bhaktapur, also called the "City of Devotees" where you will meander down narrow lanes past centuries old homes and temples. The tour will begin with a visit to Durbar Square, The Golden Gate, Places of 55 Windows, Lion's Gate. The Nyatpola Temple, the tallest of its kind in Nepal, Bhairab Temple, the Pottery Centre and Dattratraya Temple. Overnight at Hotel
Day 6: Kathmandu / Departure
After breakfast transfer to airport for flight to onward destination.
